Signed contracts for four offshore wind power projects in Guangdong
The global acceleration of the development planning and layout of offshore wind power will accelerate the expansion of the offshore wind market. Recently, at the 3rd Shanwei Development Conference, a total of 30 investment projects were signed, with a total planned investment of 45.757 billion yuan. Among them, four offshore wind power projects were signed on site.
The four offshore wind power projects signed this time are: Shanwei Red Bay Four Seas Wind Power Demonstration Project, Shanwei Red Bay Three Seas Wind Power Project, Shanwei Red Bay Five Seas Wind Power Project, and Shanwei Red Bay Six Seas Wind Power Project. Among them, the owner of the Shanwei Red Bay Four Seas Wind Power Demonstration Project is Mingyang Smart Energy Group Co., Ltd. The total planned capacity of this project reaches 500MW, and it is planned to install wind turbines of 16MW level and above. Mingyang Intelligent will rely on its leading marine energy three-dimensional integration development technology to form a large-scale application of "offshore wind power+marine ranch" and "blue energy+marine granary".
The other three offshore wind power projects, namely the Shanwei Red Bay Three Seas Wind Power Project, the Shanwei Red Bay Five Seas Wind Power Project, and the Shanwei Red Bay Six Seas Wind Power Project, are all provincial managed offshore wind power distribution projects in Guangdong Province in 2023, with a total planned capacity of 500MW. The development owners of these three projects are China Guanghe Wind Power Co., Ltd., China Resources Power New Energy Investment Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Energy Group Co., Ltd.
At present, Shanwei City has successfully constructed an offshore wind power project with an installed capacity of 1.4 million kilowatts, and an additional 10.4 million kilowatts have been approved and planned by the state. The long-term planned offshore wind power project is as high as 22.55 million kilowatts. This grand development blueprint has attracted many large central and state-owned enterprises to actively participate in the development and construction of offshore wind power in Shanwei.
In addition to offshore wind power projects, multiple important projects have also been signed in the energy industry. The signing of these projects will further promote the development of the energy industry in Shanwei City.
With the continuous progress of technology and strong government support, the scale of offshore wind power projects continues to expand. At present, the scale of offshore wind power projects under construction or planning worldwide is already considerable, and it is expected that this trend will continue in the future. Editor/Zhao E
