On November 8, 2023, the commencement ceremony of the Wuhu Industrial Innovation Center Phase II project of the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor in the Yangtze River Delta was held in Songjiang District, Shanghai. As a hub connecting Anhui Province with Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang, Wuhu has seized the opportunity of the national strategy of integrating the Yangtze River Delta and actively participated in the construction of the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, fully facing the pioneering areas of the Yangtze River Delta. It has gained huge advantages in the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.

The commencement of this project is an important step taken by Wuhu in the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, marking a new stage of cross regional innovation and collaborative development between Wuhu and Songjiang. As an important support for Wuhu's deep integration into the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta integration, this project is the first self built science and technology innovation enclave project in Anhui Province.

As early as January 2020, Wuhu and Songjiang District of Shanghai reached a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly build an innovative enclave. Nowadays, the first phase of the Wuhu Innovation Center project of the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor has gathered 20 science and technology innovation enterprises and nearly a hundred high-end talents. This project has gradually developed into a showcase for Wuhu's image in Shanghai, a gathering center for high-end talents, a research and development center for innovative enterprises, and an important international exchange platform.

The second phase project of Wuhu Industrial Innovation Center is an important component of the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor in the Yangtze River Delta, with a total investment of up to 1 billion yuan and a total construction area of 92600 square meters. The project is expected to be completed and put into use within approximately one year. Its main goal is to promote the development of a collaborative innovation model of "incubation in Shanghai, industrialization in Wuhu; research and development in Shanghai, production in Wuhu; front-end in Shanghai, back-end in Wuhu".
