On September 16, 2023, the commencement ceremony of the Inner Mongolia New Energy Vocational College project was held in the Inner Mongolia Vocational Education Park.

The Inner Mongolia New Energy Vocational College project is implemented in three phases, covering a total area of over 6700 acres and with a total investment of 3.054 billion yuan. It is a comprehensive talent cultivation and training base that integrates new energy research, production, practical demonstration, vocational education, high-skilled talent incubation, and the promotion and application of "four new" technologies. It is also the first vocational college in the autonomous region to closely connect with new economies, new formats, and new industries such as wind power, photovoltaic, and energy storage.

After the completion of this project, it can attract approximately 30000 students and trainees, driving the creation of over 3000 new positions in related supporting industries. The commencement of the project marks a crucial step for Ulanqab in the construction of the Inner Mongolia Vocational Education Park at a high standard and level. It will continuously improve the modernization level of Ulanqab vocational education, accelerate the cultivation of a group of vocational and technical talents serving the new energy and new material industries, and contribute to the high-quality development of the regional economy and society.
