Recently, the Weiyuan Meineng Shale Gas New Materials Integrated Industrial Park project, with a total investment of 13 billion yuan, officially began construction. This is the largest manufacturing project introduced in Neijiang, Sichuan to date.

The project covers an area of approximately 1500 acres and is invested and constructed by Jingke Holdings and Yunnan Meineng. It uses shale gas as raw material to produce 400000 tons of BDO and 600000 tons of PBAT annually. After reaching full capacity, it can achieve an annual output value of over 12 billion yuan and create over 1000 new jobs. The project is divided into two phases of construction. The first phase covers an area of 800 acres, with a total investment of 6.5 billion yuan, and an annual output of 200000 tons of BDO and 300000 tons of PBAT. The first phase is planned to be put into operation in July 2025!

The project adopts Tsinghua University shale gas to acetylene technology and Hong Kong Guanda acetylene to BDO technology. A single production line can produce 200000 tons of BDO annually, twice the traditional production line, and can save 500 yuan per ton in cost. The energy consumption of the BDO device in this project is 720 kilograms of standard coal per ton, which is 24 percentage points lower than the advanced value of the national standard and is at the leading level in the industry.
